Dando seguimento ao tema inaugurado na semana passada, selecionamos abaixo algumas exemplos1 em que a expressão burden of proof ocorre naturalmente e apresentamos algumas sugestões de tradução:

1- atribuir/impor o ônus da prova a alguém

  • "In fact, there is really nothing society can do to compensate people who are wrongly convicted. That's one big reason why our criminal justice system puts such a strong burden of proof on the prosecution."
